Who We Are and What We Work On
The Areas We Cover
We're based at 208 E Broad St in Mansfield, and most of our calls stay within a short drive of that address. We go out to Rendon (7 mi) and Kennedale (8 mi) regularly, and we cover Venus, Midlothian, and Everman at the 10-mile mark without hesitation. Forest Hill, Alvarado, Ovilla, Edgecliff Village, and Crowley round out the next ring, and we'll still take calls out to DeSoto, Glenn Heights, Oak Leaf, Keene, Joshua, Richland Hills, Maypearl, and Haltom City when the schedule allows it.
That range matters because the housing stock changes as you move across it. Mansfield and the surrounding area were built out mostly between 1959 and 2014, with the median home dating to about 1989, and the bulk of what we see on a given week falls into that 1980s-90s window across all 18 of the named areas we work. That means a lot of steel sectional doors on extension or torsion springs, factory openers from a handful of eras, and the wear patterns that come with 30-plus-year-old hardware rather than brand-new builds or pre-war construction.
What We Do Not Take On
We don't do new home construction or rough-in work for a garage that hasn't been built yet. We don't sell or install commercial dock doors or rolling steel fire doors - that's a different trade with different equipment, and we'd rather tell you that up front than take the job and do it badly.
We also don't chase every call outside our drive radius. If you're past Maypearl or further out than our listed areas, it's worth asking before you wait on us, because we may not be able to get a truck there same day. And if a door is damaged beyond what's worth fixing - a panel that's been hit hard enough to bend the frame, or an opener and spring system both failing on a door that's already at the end of its service life - we'll tell you replacement makes more sense than a repair bill that chases a dying door.
What We Actually Do
Garage door repair and replacement for houses, mostly: broken torsion and extension springs, cables that have frayed or snapped, rollers and hinges worn past smooth operation, tracks knocked out of alignment, and openers that have stopped responding or started grinding. A fair share of the doors we touch are original to houses built in that 1980s-90s stretch, which means parts that aren't always on a shelf anymore - we keep common spring sizes and roller types on hand, but a less common opener board or an obsolete track bracket can mean a short wait on a part.
We also handle full door replacements when a repair doesn't make sense anymore, including swapping out older single-layer steel doors for better-insulated options, which matters here given the moderate heat load this area carries through the summer months. Call (817) 985-1352 if you want someone to look at a door before guessing at what it needs.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work outside Mansfield itself?
Yes. We regularly cover Rendon, Kennedale, Venus, Midlothian, and Everman, and we'll take calls as far out as Joshua, Haltom City, or Maypearl depending on the schedule. If you're unsure whether your address is in range, call (817) 985-1352 and ask before you wait on a visit.
Why does the age of my house matter for a garage door repair?
Most houses in this area were built between 1959 and 2014, with a lot of stock from the 1980s and 90s. Doors and openers from that era use spring sizes and hardware that aren't always stocked anywhere nearby, so an older door can sometimes mean a short wait on the right part.
Will you tell me if a repair isn't worth it?
Yes. If a door's frame is bent, or the opener and springs are both failing on a door that's already near the end of its life, we'll say replacement makes more sense than spending on a repair that won't hold. We'd rather tell you that than take the job anyway.
Do you install commercial garage doors?
No. We don't do commercial dock doors or rolling steel fire doors - that's different equipment and a different trade. We stick to residential garage doors and openers, which is where our stock and tools are set up to help.
